We have prepared both tourist and educational programmes that will make your family visit full of quality, mutual bonding and especially love. Time spent with Lipizzan horses is the right way to make your child happy and to offer them unforgettable moments for a happy childhood.
Each programme and price includes two adults and three children maximum. There can be no more than two families at the same time in order to have a quality programme.
PACKAGE – I
Basic programme MEET ERGELA ĐAKOVO + educational programme FIRST CONTACT WITH LIPIZZANERS
For children age 3 years and up
Programme duration: 1.5 hour

Basic Programme MEET ERGELA ĐAKOVO
Includes a tourist visit of Stallion station – (centre of the Town of Đakovo), Augusta Šenoe 45, 31400 Đakovo
LOCATION PASTUHARNA
A walking tour accompanied by a tourist tour guide of the Stud Farm retelling the story about our horses, a short story about their history, meeting the life of Lipizanners and horse sports. Horse training and dressage is conducted at this location in the centre of the town.
Visitors accompanied by a tour guide can see:
- horse stables (3 separate stables where horses are situated)
- the biggest closed riding hall in Croatia (approx. 4200 m2),
- outdoor racetrack
- a collection of horse carriages and trophies won at competitions
- a horse promenade
- dressage and horse hurdling terrain
- children’s playground
- visit to a souvenir shop
FIRST CONTACT WITH LIPIZZANERS (for a family with children as of three years of age)
The First Contact with Lipizzaners programme incites new emotions and encourages development of children’s senses. The Lipizzaner is a true man’s friend which can be particularly seen with children. Since the children at that age are not yet ready to ride but love horses and want to meet them, this is a programme for them. It will help them make the first contact with a horse, learn basics and feel the warmth of a horse on their own palms.
This is a new programme of the National Stud Farm Đakovo where you and your child are part of a unique experience by spending time together in direct contact with your new friend.
The programme is conducted under the expert guidance of a trainer.
The First Contact with Lipizzaners programme includes:
- Lipizzaners at the Stud Farm Đakovo
- What does a Lipizzaner horse look like?
- A working day of a Lipizzaner at the Stud Farm
- How do horses see, hear and show their mood?
- How do horses communicate with children?
- What do Lipizzaners eat and what do they like doing?
- First contact with a Lipizzaner
- visit to a souvenir shop with souvenirs for children (picture books, colour books, school kit, magnets, tags, etc.)
- a team photograph as a souvenir present
PACKAGE – II
Basic programme MEET ERGELA ĐAKOVO + educational programme LIPIZZANER-MAN’S FRIEND
For children age 6 years and up
Programme duration: 1.5 hour
Price: 60,00 kn per person (7,96 €)

Would you like your child to get to know Lipizzaner horses in a different way? This can be done in our programme Lipizzaner – man’s friend in which even the admirers of Lipizzan horses can find out more about them: the way they see, hear, feel, think and communicate .
We will teach children how to approach Lipizzaners, how to greet, touch and brush it and how to take care about their hooves and the like.
This is a new programme of the National Stud Farm Đakovo where you and your child have a unique experience through spending time together and a direct contact with your new friend.
The programme is conducted under the guidance of an expert guide.
The programme Lipizzaner-man’s friend includes:
- Learning the basics about the Stud Farm and visit the stables at Stallion station
- Learning how horses communicate with people and the environment around them
- Getting to know about horses’ care and diet
- Getting to know the riding equipment
- Learning how to approach a horse in the right way
- Team photograph
- Making your first steps in a saddle with the help of your trainer
- Visit to the souvenir shop
PACKAGE – III
Basic programme MEET STUD FARM ĐAKOVO + educational programme FIRST CONTACT WITH LIPIZZANERS + ride in a Lipizzan carriage (15 minutes in the town)
For children age 3 years and up.
Programme Duration: 2 hours

RIDE IN A LIPIZZANER CARRIAGE
After dull everyday routines, traffic jams and important obligations, you should do something for yourself. A ride in a Lipizzaner carriage through the streets of the Town of Đakovo, at the heart of Slavonia, is an everlasting experience. You will explore the attractions of our town, a town with a soul that awaits travellers with its hands wide open and a smile.
